Designation: The Pthumerian Queen, the Mother of Deerington
Encountered: May 16th, on the surface of Lake Tomie
Status: Deceased

Description: A female humanoid with bound hands, approximately nine-feet tall, apparently pregnant and garbed in layers of white fabric. Capable of speech. Accessing her location required travel through the corpse of a large, aquatic creature that shared the Queen's face. Her blood allegedly smelled of rotting fish.

Attack patterns: The Queen's attacks relied on sapping blood from both herself and her target. This strategy made her a significant threat to organic combatants and largely ineffective against synthetics. Once she had collected enough blood, she was able to shape it into projectiles. These projectiles could pierce organic skin. As stated earlier, she was also capable of sapping blood without these projectiles, rendering this strategy redundant.

Over the course of combat, the Queen became more aggressive, eventually breaking the bonds on her hands and shaping the blood into a sword. This sword was abnormally sharp and durable, able to cut through wood and steel with no resistance.

Despite these abilities, the Queen proved as vulnerable as any other organic being and eventually succumbed to repeated bludgeoning and laceration.

Supplemental data: After the Queen was eliminated, a memory was projected and visible to all present. In the memory, the Pthumerian Queen spoke with one designated Mother Superior as they observed a group of humans from afar. The following is a transcript of their exchange.

{transcript}

The Queen claimed to be the mother of Cynthia and the grandmother of the administrator, Sodder. If this is true, it could explain the source of Sodder's power.

Last January many Sleepers awoke on board the RMS Titanic. We were all provided with false identities and assigned to one of three classes (first, second, or third) with housing and privileges based on that class designation. Some of us were part of the ship's staff; I myself was assigned to the Medic Bay in the capacity of a nurse.

Some Sleepers experienced memory discrepancies, seeming to believe that they were, in fact, their false identities, or an earlier iteration of themself.
[ Specifically referring to Tech Boy, there. ] It's unclear why only some were affected and not all. To the best of my knowledge, I fully maintained my own memories, though non-Sleeper passengers only acknowledged me by my false identity even when corrected.

On the evening of January 30th, Godzilla damaged the ship, resulting in it sinking.

Here's a list of monster's that I was able to recall before. It's slightly outdated, but I'm sure other people can give info on more of them.

The Krampus

Encountered last December.

Appeared similar to how it's described in folklore: a horned half-goat, half-demon anthropomorphic figure, with clawed hands, fangs, an extremely long prehensile tongue used to bind its prey, and walked upright on hooved feet. Accompanied by a rancid smell and had chains hanging from its wrists. Noticeably faster and stronger than the average human.

Eye contact resulted in some kind of memory transference, experiencing memories firsthand, my own as well as those of the other person being attacked by the creature. Withstood a direct headshot and having its tongue severed. Successfully neutralised with an explosive-tipped arrow to the back of its head, causing it to explode. The remainder of the body immediately became charred like coal and crumbled to dust. A sample of its blood was collected from my clothing.

Godzilla

Encountered last January on the evening of the 30th when the RMS Titanic struck it, resulting in the creature's spines tearing through the side of the ship and ultimately sinking it. The creature disappeared into the depths of the ocean and was not seen again.

[ Included are copies of the videos and photos K took of the kaiju, recorded with an inhumanly steady hand despite the shaking of the ship. They provide a good indication of the sheer size of the creature. ]

October in Deerington

It seems to warrant its own entry. Aside from the resources that have already been linked, there has been additional information provided by Shiro and Vira-Lorr.

  • Results of studies on the first and second deaths

  • Results of studies on second & third.

Fourth death seems to result in all the previous symptoms, plus the edition of lucid dreams and sleepwalking. Sleepwalkers can be woken.

Variations of death symptoms are not uncommon; a lack of ability to access powers has been reported and at least one individual returned from death with no symptoms at all. It is unclear why these variations occur, but most of followed the pattern of the first and second deaths steadily. There have been too few who have died a third time and even fewer a fourth to report on the consistencies.

No fifth deaths have been reported to me as of yet, but I will continue to share my notes as people report them to me.

Vira-Lorr has reported on the effects of a fifth death:

"Fifth Death) One of your senses will become wrong. We have only one known case of this, and it has caused the victim to suffer near total loss of the sense of touch, along with the attendant balance and coordination issues. If things track consistently, it is harder to mitigate and will last for five months. I'll report on that fact in five month's time.

The best cure, again, is NOT TO DIE FIVE TIMES.
Be careful, because the enchanted forest is extremely hazardous, even to veteran combatants."

Peter Parker has compiled extensive information that he made available to all Sleepers. I recommend reading through it.

[ Inspired by a conversation with Makoto... ]

Would a directory of Sleeper-run businesses and services be useful? Or would that simply go under "Services"?

Owner: KD6-3.7 (manager/bartender)
Employee: Arid (bouncer)

[ Several pictures of the pub are included, highlighting the 1920s Birmingham aesthetic that K has maintained during his ownership. Former and current employees can also be seen in some of the pictures, including the original owner, Thomas Shelby, the bouncers Shadow Moon and Arid, and K himself manning the bar. If your character is a regular, chances are they're featured in a few of the pictures, too. ]
